Canadian Nationalism
There are four key questions in this course:
To what extent should nation be the foundation of identity
To what extent should national interests be pursued
To what extent should internationalism be pursued
To what extent should individuals and groups in Canada embrace a national identity?
This unit will look at all of these questions, but most specifically the last one. The issue is - how do we create a national identity. In order to understand the complexities of creating a national identity in Canada, we must look at our history and then look at our current situation.
