Unit Three - the Growth of Ultranationalism
While many see the growth of nationalism as a good step in human civilization, there are events during the 20th Century that clearly demonstrate how nationalism can go too far. Looking at the Nazi Holocaust and the Ukrainian Holomodor, one can see that a passion for your nation can lead some people to do horrible things. This view of seeing your nation as superior to others, to the point of using violence to express your opinion, is referred to as ultranationalism.
